Nos Appellations
AOP Reuilly / AOP Valençay / IGP Loire Valley
The story of Claude Lafond winery begins in 1960 when André Lafond, former vineyard worker, bought few lands to plant vines. A that time, the family owned only one hectare.
Our vineyard has grown over the years, especially thanks to André’s son, Claude Lafond, then thanks to Nathalie Lafond, Claude’s daughter.
Over three generations, our production increased. Today, Lafond vineyard represents 35 hectares of AOP Reuilly (Protected Designation of Origin), planted with sauvignon, pinot noir and pinot gris.
We are also producers in AOP Valençay. Since the early 2000s, Claude Lafond winery cultivates the 3 hectares of Valençay Castle.
Finally, in love with our region, we also produce wines from IGP Loire Valley (Protected Geographical Indication), in the small town of « Le Menoux », in the south of the department of Indre. An old vineyard that we decided to revive by replanting 5 hectares of vines 10 years ago.
