IGP Val de Loire
Protected Geographical Indication
IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) is a designation for wines produced in a larger geographical area than the AOC.
Our vines are located south of the Indre department in the small town of Le Menoux. Former wine town, Le Menoux has gradually seen its vines disappear during the 20th century because of the phylloxera and of the two World Wars.
In the early 2000s, Claude Lafond decided to replant vines with the old local grape varieties. Today our winery cultivates 5 hectares of gamay for the rosé wines and côt (malbec) and cabernet sauvignon for the red wines.
